Recovery Team
Buller Flood Recovery Team
In August 2021, a Recovery Team was established to help Westport recover and rebuild from the devastating July 2021 floods, followed by the February 2022 weather event. The Buller District Council appointed the team to take the lead and coordinate, to rebuild our homes and our community back better.
The Flood Recovery Team was led by Bob Dickson (far right in an earlier team photo). Although in July 2022 a number of roles and workstreams were picked up again by Buller District Council, a smaller Flood Recovery team continued its work until March 2023.
Flood recovery work is now led by Buller District Council.
