To celebrate the winding up of school for the year, NUKU & Kawatiri Youth Voice are hosting a fun filled afternoon at Carters Beach reserve Saturday 30th November from 3.30pm – 6.30pm.

There will be food and games including a sandcastle building competition, beach cricket and volleyball. Also live music from our amazing local DJ The Nomad!

Register your interest in this event here.

A return bus ride from Westport is available, you must pre register for this by contacting Dale at Sport Tasman – dale.sporttaman.org.nz.

NUKU is a wellbeing social enterprise that set up “shop zero” in Westport to receive and distribute donations from all over New Zealand to locals affected by the July flood. They have done a wonderful job contributing to the community and have handed out hundreds of packages providing items that were lost to the flood.

Other sponsors of the Kura Out event include Sport Tasman, The Lions Club and Buller district Council, who have also done much to support people in our community who struggled in the aftermath of the flood.

Bring the kids out to Carter’s Beach next Saturday or sent them on the bus for an afternoon full of fun!
